Committee mandate

The Curriculum, Teaching & Learning EDI Committee will share, discuss, and engage with underrepresented groups and make recommendations in relation to diversity in the curriculum, pedagogical approaches, experiential learning, study abroad programs, and other educational considerations.

Three key objectives

1 Develop initiatives that enable instructors, program leaders and faculty to infuse African Nova Scotian and Afrocentric perspectives, issues, pedagogies, and ways of knowing into curricula and program development. 

2 Ensure our awards and honours celebrate accomplishments in an inclusive way through a review of application procedures and criteria. 

3 Education and support on Indigenous issues and the TRC for non-Indigenous Faculty and Staff.
