Research & creative activity

Dr. Warwick studies music as it intersects with race, gender, sexuality, and age identity, with particular interests in popular musics in North American culture. She is the author of听Girl Groups, Girl Culture: Popular Music and Identity in the 1960s听(Routledge 2007), co-editor, with Allison Adrian, of Voicing Girlhood in Popular Music: Performance, Authority, Authenticity (Routledge, 2016), and听Senior Editor for听The Grove Dictionary of American Music, 2nd edition听(Oxford University Press, 2013). She is currently preparing听Child鈥檚 Play: Musical Prodigies and the Performance of Childhood听for Oxford University Press and听Music, Gender, and Sexuality Studies: A Teacher鈥檚 Guide for Routledge
