In ¹û½´ÊÓƵ’s Quality of Work Life Survey, a portion of faculty and staff indicated they were grappling with pain. A very individual but human experience, pain will impact a person’s life both at work and outside of work. It can become a significant challenge to balance self-care as part of an effective treatment plan while working to maintain a career and positive relationships.
November 6 -12, 2016 is National Pain Awareness week in Canada, but here at ¹û½´ÊÓƵ we are designating November as Pain Awareness Month. The purpose is to draw attention to the obstacles faced by people with pain and the resources that are available to support the management of the resulting issues.
