Curriculum Development
CLT works in partnership with individuals and groups on聽course design听补苍诲听program development. Individual consultations as well as department, faculty, and university-wide workshops are offered, including support for curriculum mapping and planning.
Curriculum Creation and Renewal
Considering creation and renewal of a program鈥檚 curriculum can be a rewarding and reflective process. Program creation, development, and renewal:
- Provides the opportunity to reflect on the discipline and student learning and experience.
- Allows instructors to discuss the strengths of the program and discover areas of improvement in the content delivery and assessment methods employed by their colleagues.
- Enables consideration of how the program ensures inclusivity and intercultural perspectives across content and teaching practices.
- Encourages participation in facilitated department and faculty-specific workshops or retreats to assist the formation of cohesive programs by considering how courses and content develop through the duration of a program.
- Enables instructors, as a faculty-driven process, to voice their observations about student learning or the program鈥檚 connection to the university鈥檚 strategic direction, vision, mission, and values.
