Invest Nova Scotia is excited to announce that applications are now open for the Early Stage Commercialization Fund (ESCF) Program.

This program is designed to help Nova Scotia university, college, and university-affiliated hospital researchers bring their innovations to market and explore entrepreneurial opportunities.

How ESCF Can Support Researchers:

1. Funding:
Access up to $50,000 in non-dilutive, non-repayable funding per project to advance research and intellectual property from Nova Scotia universities and research institutes (including Nova Scotia Health) to market.

2. Support for Advancing Technologies:
For projects that have achieved proof-of-concept, identified a significant market opportunity, and demonstrated potential for industry partnerships or investment.

3. Technology Transfer:
Accelerates technology transfer activities in Nova Scotia post-secondary institutions, moving projects closer to industry collaboration or spin-out opportunities.

Who Can Apply?

Eligible applicants include Nova Scotia university and college faculty members, staff, and clinicians within university-affiliated hospitals.

Application Deadline:

The deadline to apply is February 10, 2025.
