Joy, PhillipÌý(End date: June 30, 2027) - Dr. Joy is a registered dietitian with the Nova Scotia Dietetic Association (NSDA) and an assistant professor at Mount Saint Vincent University. His research interests include the connections between gender and sexuality, and nutrition, health, and wellbeing, specifically within the LGBTQ communities. Steeves. Darren (End date: June 30, 2025) – Strength and physiology coach for Kayak Canada and the Canadian Sport Centre Atlantic. Supervises Kinesiology practicum students and other internship students. Contact: darren@cscatlantic.ca

Thornley, Leo (End date: June 30, 2025) – Director, Sport Science, Canadian Sport Centre Atlantic. Supervises Kinesiology practicum students, other internship students, student volunteer placements, and supervision of independent projects. Brown, Micah (End date: June 30, 2027) - A former professional athlete and Florida native now residing in Nova Scotia, Brown brings his extensive background in athletic performance, football analytics, and coaching to this role. Entering his fourth year with the Saint Mary’s University Football program, he currently serves as the Director of Football Analytics and Receivers Coach, where his data-driven insights enhance team strategy and player development. Brown’s academic achievements include a B.Sc. in Business Marketing and Management, a double major in Psychology and Sociology from Saint Mary’s, and a Master’s and advanced degrees in North American Studies and Sport Science & Biomechanics. An innovative thinker, he also founded BATLX, a football-specific training facility known for its advanced coaching and development programs, and launched the ELITE 8 program, a high-intensity flag football league designed to elevate youth athletes. With a career that spans an 11-season professional journey across ten countries, including accolades such as a World Championship with Team USA and a place in the Euro-American Football Hall of Fame, Brown’s experiences will enrich ¹û½´ÊÓƵ's commitment to integrating health, sport, and human performance education.
