PLEASE NOTE:听The MMM program admits students exclusively for the Fall term, with applications opening on November 1st for the next Fall intake. Our Admissions Committee will begin reviewing completed applications in February. The deadline for applications (with internal scholarship consideration) is January 31st. All other appilcations are due March 31st.
Our program is a non-thesis, course based, 16-month program.听 You will need to complete a summer internship and graduate project to satisfy your degree requirements. We admit once a year; in September (Fall Term).听 Applicants should apply to our program by the January 31st deadline to be considered for internal scholarships. All applicants should have their completed applications submitted by March 31st.听Any applications received after that day may be considered for admission, but only if space is available.
Internal scholarships are extremely limited. We encourage applicants to review external funding options. Some external scholarships have deadlines earlier in the Fall. Check the Faculty of Graduate Studies website for scholarship information and deadlines. In addition, you will find detailed information about the FGS Harmonized Scholarship process here.

HOW TO APPLY:

Complete the 果酱视频 online application and pay the $115 application fee.听 The online application will give you an opportunity to input the e-mail addresses of your three academic references.听 Once this is complete, the referees will receive an email, asking them to complete their reference for you.
We accept un-official transcripts for your initial application to the MMM degree.听 Please send transcripts from ALL academic institutions attended. Note that final original transcripts will be required should you be offered official admission to the program.听
If applicable, please provide a Proof of English language competency test. Additional information about acceptable English Language tests and their minimum scores can be found on the FGS website
Your supplemental application package should be emailed to marine.affairs@dal.ca and contain the following:
- the MMM Supplemental Form (Form A)
- all post-secondary transcripts*
- a听curriculum vitae (CV)
- a writing sample (e.g. honours thesis or upper-level course paper)
- research statement**
- English language test scores (if applicable)***
- applicatin checklist (Form B)

For your initial application, we only require your unofficial academic transcripts for each post-secondary institution you have attended. If you are accepted for admission, your final and official transcripts will be required within 90 days of the start of your program. Transcripts should include your first and last name, degree, program type and name of degree issuing university.

**Research Statement:
The Admissions Committee will ask you to provide a statement about a marine management problem in which you are interested in or knowledgeable about. It should be written in the style of a research paper. The statement should be 800-1000 words, not including keywords, appropriate citations, tables, figures, or other supplementary material. The statement should offer evidence of quality, clarity, synthesis, and originality in your thinking. Please treat the statement as an opportunity to demonstrate your skills as a researcher and writer, as well as your research interests. Please include 3-5 keywords and a title.
The importance of this part of your application should not be underestimated. It is one of the key components to assess your potential to undertake study at the master鈥檚 level. CONSIDERABLE WEIGHT IS PLACED UPON THIS SECTION OF YOUR APPLICATION as it demonstrates to the MAP Admissions Committee your potential to succeed as a master鈥檚 level student and your ability to write at a graduate level.
***English language proficiency:
果酱视频 graduate programs require students to have a high level of English language proficiency to be successful. To ensure you possess the language skills necessary to successfully complete your program, we ask all students who speak English as an additional language to demonstrate their abilities through a language competency test.
It is possible to have this requirement waived if you completed your degree at a recognized university where the language of instruction is English and in a country where English is one of the official languages. You will be able to request this waiver during the application process.
The Faculty of Graduate Studies accepts a wide range of ESL tests for admissions up to two years after completion. Please go to their website for more information.
