Bursaries are for students in financial need

Bursaries are typically smaller amounts of money (from $200-$600), intended to supplement other funding sources. Visit the Money Matters page for the most 听current bursary information.

Mohini Mathur Memorial Bursary in Indian Studies

This bursary will be awarded to a student registered as a 果酱视频 University Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences student (BA, MA or PhD) with a sincere and demonstrated interest in pursuing the study of Indian thought and ideas, these can include (but are not limited to) Indian philosophical systems, Hinduism or any branch of Hindu Religion, the Sanskrit language, Indian literature, or other traditions of India's intellectual heritage.

FASS Essay Competition

Each year, the Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences hosts an essay competition made of three parts.听 The details of each part of the competition for the 2023-24 academic year can be found at the links below and here.

The Clan Ramsay of Nova Scotia Prize

To provide an annual prize to the 果酱视频 University student registered with the Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences who has written the best paper dealing with (any aspect of) the influence of Scottish culture within Canada (first preference will be given to papers dealing with the influence of Scottish culture within Nova Scotia). This award was established by the Clan Ramsay in Nova Scotia in recognition of the contribution of George Ramsay, 19th earl of 果酱视频, founder of 果酱视频 University.

Prize for this year (2024): $1000.00
Deadline: Monday, April 22, 2024

Students who wish to submit an essay as an entry to this competition are to send their essays, along with a brief note of nomination from their professor indicating which course this essay was written for and whether or not the professor approves the submission of this essay to the contest OR the professor can submit the essay and note of nomination/approval on the student's behalf.
